What we need:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Sales Engineer to join our team in the cloud software as a service (SaaS) industry. As a Sales Engineer, you will play a key role in driving sales by providing technical expertise and support to our clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for collaborating with the sales team to identify customer needs, demonstrating software solutions, and providing technical guidance throughout the sales process. You will also be responsible for conducting product presentations, managing customer trials, delivering technical proposals, and managing customer relationships. Travel will be required on occasion to customer locations as well as trade shows.  Expect to be a star in our online podcast and social video productions!  Additionally, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project implementation.

This role will report to the Senior Director – Customer Solutions and Emerging Technology and preferred location for this role is Atlanta, GA.

MacStadium's current U.S. office locations are in Atlanta, GA and Las Vegas, NV. While it is ideal to have this position located in close proximity to one of our offices, we are open to filling the role remotely outside of the states of Georgia and Nevada (within the United States) for the right candidate.

What you will be doing: 

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and demonstrate software solutions

  • Provide technical guidance and support to clients throughout the sales process

  • Conduct product presentations and deliver technical proposals to clients

  • Manage customer relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project implementation

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor offerings

  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities

    What Skills and Experience you need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

  • 3-5 years of Sales Engineer experience or in a similar technical sales role

  • In-depth knowledge of computer software and technology solutions

  • Strong presentation and communication skills

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively

  • Familiarity with scripting and API experience

  • Cloud Infrastructure experience with AWS, Azure, Google.

  • Experience with Virtualization technologies such as VMWare, Tart, or other platforms.

  • Familiarity with networking, firewalls, tunnels, mesh networking (Tailscale or Nebula).

  • Apple ecosystem knowledge and experience

  • CI/CD pipeline configuration and experience with tools such as Jenkins and Github Actions

  • Ability to work independently and in a team

  • We are a virtual team, ability to work in a remote environment is a must

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities

  • Willingness to travel as needed

For California, Colorado, and Illinois applicants, the compensation range for this role is $100,000 to $130,000.
