Overview
Restaurant Accounting is one of five teams within Restaurant Financial Services. Restaurant Accounting consists of two key functional areas: Regional Accounting Support and Accounting Strategy. Within these areas, we provide accounting support and strategy for: Chick-fil-A domestically franchised and company owned restaurants, STC Brands, Beyond the Restaurant, Operations Accounting, and our Restaurant Fee Calculation and Profit/Loss Reporting system. We take pride in providing “Second Mile” service to our customers which consists of Operators, STC Brand Executive General Managers, Team Members, Support Center Staff, and 3rd party vendors. Our work is primarily performed at the Support Center in a campus mobile environment. Occasional travel and over-time may be required to meet team or individual goals and deadlines.
This is a professional level role requiring a person who will be responsible for routine Regional Accounting Support tactical assignments. This includes Chick-fil-A restaurant assignment, month-end reviews, general ledger account reconciliation and revenue/expense auditing to ensure compliance to policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
Spends 80% or more of time on responsibilities directly related to assigned restaurants. This includes:
Serves as relationship manager for up to 70 Restaurants/Operators, including:
Answering phone calls and emails in a timely manner
Seeking the Operator’s perspective
Partnering with Cash Management to research and reconcile unresolved cash issues
Communicating difficult or technical issues in an empathetic and understandable manner
Provides proactive accounting support to assigned restaurants, including:
Providing training and education on various tools, principles, policies and best practices
Advising Operators on opportunities within the FCR (Additional FCR Expenses, TPP, etc.)
Owns reconciliation (researching, balancing and cleaning up) of customer-facing general ledger accounts for assigned restaurants
Collaborates on other general ledger accounts with GL Accountants for assigned restaurants, including:
Researching unresolved reimbursements
Researching atypical account activity
Reviews and finalizes Fee Calculation Reports and Profit & Loss Statements for Restaurants, including:
Gaining and maintaining knowledge of all the underlying drivers of each line of the FCR/P&L
Understanding impact of changes to the FCR from other teams and corporate initiatives
Creating and posting restaurant journal entries (MAP, transfers, RJEs)
Resolving sales after finalized day issues
Proactively supporting team goals around automation of processes such as auto-finalizing
Performs additional analytical and auditing functions on assigned restaurants, including:
Sharing pertinent information (trends, issues, etc.) with team members, regional leaders, BCs, FRCs, and others
Resolving 1stand 2ndlevel alerts
Collaborating to resolve issues
Understanding and applying organizational policies, procedures and guidelines
Reviewing, identifying trends and resolving issues from dashboards and other sources to ensure accuracy of restaurant financial reports

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Builds strong relationships with others and values the opinions and strengths of teammates
Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities, continually prioritizing what’s most important
Analytical and detail-oriented
Self-driven, exhibiting a personal drive for excellence and an eagerness to learn, and requires minimal supervision
Knowledge and understanding of Chick-fil-A’s standard suite of work solutions (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Exhibits ability to learn new systems and/or business reporting tools (Fusion, Alteryx, Tableau)
Must pass Chick-fil-A accounting test
