Role Summary

The Project Manager ensures the successful implementation of new processes, programs, and/or systems for large complex projects. This individual is responsible for driving IHG’s Central Reservation System and Sales Systems third party vendor, Amadeus and utilizing project management discipline to implement major initiatives, which involves balancing competing demands among scope, time, cost, quality and stakeholders with differing needs and expectations, identifying requirements (needs) and unidentified requirements (expectations) and working concurrently with multiple departments as project plans are developed and executed. Must be able to navigate large organizations to identify key stakeholders and influence and prioritize work effectively. This role is a vendor management role with accountability for delivery via a third party vendor.

Key Accountabilities

  • Maximize third party vendor value via day to day vendor management activities.

  • Drive vendor delivery performance via clear & consistent prioritization and mitigating blockers.

  • Establish measurement plans and adopt the appropriate quality procedures to ensure smooth and compliant launch and sustainment of these initiatives.

  • Manage all third party vendor and internal project team communications of progress and issues with external and internal stakeholders.

  • Owns updating the project timeline and ensure project leadership is aware of any risks to the timeline.

  • Develop project plans related to the project, associated testing and/or pilots, and full launches for each project as needed.

  • Identifying and escalating systemic issues and risks.

  • Monitor the work associated with each work stream.

  • Create project status process and provide updates as needed.

  • Update project management systems with required reporting metrics.

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Business Marketing, Hospitality, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.

  • Certifications – PMP®/ /CAPM®/Six Sigma preferred.

Experience

  • 6-8 years’ project management experience responsible for managing large scale, cross-divisional, cross-functional projects with numerous stakeholders.

  • At least 2 years’ experience managing projects from inception to completion.

  • 6-8 years progressive work-related experience in marketing and/or hotel operations and/or a related hospitality field desired.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines/processes related to the position, including experience managing waterfall projects, change management and/or Six Sigma continuous improvement as well as Agile.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Demonstrated project management experience in organizing, planning and executing large-scale projects from conception through implementation.

  • Strong consultative skills and demonstrated ability to achieve corporate business objectives across functional boundaries including third party vendors.

  • Strong negotiator and able to influence those outside own team. Ability to lead a team in a matrix environment and resolve conflicts as needed.

  • Must possess strong communication skills, written and verbal; articulate, persuasive & influential; systematic and timely. Will be responsible for developing and delivering presentations to leaders. Ability to maintain confidential data required.

  • Experience with project management software, e.g.MS Project, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Visio and MS Excel.

  • Experience managing teams in a and working with peers in a team environment.

  • Works well under stress and can manage projects in an environment with tight deadlines.

  • Managing project budgets as needed to account for internal project spend.

  • Demonstrated analytical skills to solve problems, analyze data and make decisions that affect the project on regular basis.

The salary range for this role is $58,834 to $104,711. This is the lowest to highest pay scale we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors, including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.

**This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
