Description:
Position Purpose: Join Mercy Care Atlanta as an Outreach & Enrollment Specialist and make a direct impact by assisting uninsured patients in accessing vital healthcare coverage. Your role will focus on connecting patients with Medicaid, Georgia Access, and other benefit programs, ensuring no one is left without essential care.
What You Will Do:
Identify uninsured patients and educate them on available insurance options.
Assist patients with Medicaid enrollment, Georgia Access Marketplace applications, and other benefits.
Conduct insurance benefit and eligibility verifications.
Collaborate with healthcare staff to streamline enrollment and verification processes.
Provide excellent customer service to patients of all ages, including making outbound calls for benefit renewals.
Develop partnerships within the community to promote insurance education.
Participate in outreach and community events within the metro Atlanta area.
Maintain accurate patient databases and provide timely monthly and quarterly reports.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Georgia Navigator License (must be obtained within 45 days of hire).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Two (2) years of experience in financial counseling or healthcare benefits assistance.
Proficiency with EPIC and GAMMIS systems preferred.
Fluent in English and Spanish.
Strong computer, communication, and interpersonal skills.
