Procurement Advisors LLC Operations Research Analyst II in Atlanta, Georgia
Under the Director - MRO Programs and Implementation direction, analyses large data sets from members to identify and categorize indirect spend and provide a preliminary assessment of cost reduction opportunities using MS Excel (VBA/macros) and other business intelligence tools. Performs detailed data analysis to assess current pricing models and studies technical specifications of products, annual volumes to benchmark SKUs with identified supplier partners/ category contracts. Updates and inputs data into the organization's data warehouse using SQL and ensures data quality and integrity by performing data validation/QA processes. Analyses account payable data/supplier data using extract, transform and load (ETL) processes for spend cube analysis and compliance tracking. Develops analytical and data visualization tools, such as spreadsheets, dashboards, and applications using advanced MS Excel/SQL/Python/VBA to enable critical stakeholders' managerial decision making. Provides analytical insights using mathematical modelling, and technical expertise to make product recommendations/substitutions and inventory optimization to drive cost savings. Coordinate's supplier relationships throughout benchmarking process negotiates SKU level pricing to maintain price competitiveness. Supports internal stakeholders by building forecasting models for revenue planning. Analyses purchasing patterns to rationalize SKUs to drive cost savings using optimization techniques. Engages with the member to map procurement process throughout onboarding and facilitates information flow on CRM platform (Salesforce). Audit supplier pricing files to ensure accuracy and to monitor price discrepancies and contract benefits. Participates in business development initiatives with executive leadership to create proposals and provide the necessary documentation, including by-laws, to move forward with Benchmarking and the onboarding process. Works with national and regional suppliers on special pricing arrangements, pricing challenges, and purchasing actions for special projects and programs. Works with crucial contract suppliers to identify and resolve customer issues across the portfolio. Other duties as assigned. Must be willing to travel up to 30% of the time.
