"Our retail client is looking for a Technical Designer to coordinate and monitor the technical design development process from the design phase to production. This includes reviewing and evaluating merchandise for fit, and construction, ensuring product meets established fit standards and fit intent. Additional duties below:- Develop tech pack for multiple product categories without supervision- Facilitate collaborative discussions related to fit standards and fit intent for product categories from development to production without oversight (as per development responsibility) - Communicate with Sourcing, Design and Product Development teams to resolve issues during development (styling, construction, specs and potential upcharge), under Sr TD and Manager guidance- Maintain library of patterns and blocks - digitize where needed- Evaluate sample and make recommendations for Construction, Fit Balance, Workmanship, Measurements and Product safety as needed to ensure adherence to production standards- Make pattern corrections, with Sr Technical Designer or Manager supervision as needed - Lead and support team projects- Subject Matter Expert in at least 1 tech design skill (Gerber, Patternmaking, 3D or other)- Able to train peers on Technical Design systems- Offer technical and strategic solutions that support team strategies- Process Management- assessment, documentation and training Technical Design related processesREQUIRED: - 5 or more years of technical design experience- Associates degree in a related field or equivalent work experience - Prior 3D experience preferred- Understanding of pattern making, grading and how to review and correct patterns - Be proficient in a PLM or similar product management system- Must have proficiency and a clear understanding of Adobe Illustrator and MS Office- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- Ability to build and maintain partnerships effectively up, down, and across the organization- High sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlinesThis is an onsite in Buckhead, 30-40 hours a week, freelance opportunity.#IND123#LI-YR1Creative Circle's Freelance Employee benefits package includes eligibility for Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) medical plan, dental/vision/term life package, discount prescription program, critical illness, accident, tele-behavioral health, and 401(k) plan.
