Emory Healthcare has an opportunity for an experienced Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team as a Lead at our Ambulatory Gynecology and Obstetrics clinic on the Emory University Hospital Midtown campus.

In this role, the ideal Lead Advanced Practice Provider (APP) candidate will have prior experience as an NP or PA in Women's Health, specifically in an ambulatory setting. Prior experience running independent clinic and managing your own patient panel is highly desired.

The Lead APP will be solely based in an ambulatory setting.

Our Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners are an integral part of the Emory Healthcare integrated academic health care system. Some highlights of joining the Emory Healthcare team:

  • Base Salary range: $106,800 to $134,000 per year depending upon years of experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.

Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Clinical Lead Advanced Practice Provider Role is to provide shift accountability for the clinical, administrative and human resources activities for the Advanced Practice Provider Services (APPs), as well as provide support to the Chief.

  • Additionally, will practice in an advanced role and coordinate the delivery of high quality, family/patient centered appropriate patient care within the designated service area.

  • Responsibilities in this role, provides oversight and leadership for APP's, potentially at multiple locations.

  • Maintains own clinical competencies as required by medical staff privileging.

  • Ensures organizational and medical staff standards of competencies and quality and safety initiatives are met by participating in the competency process through Med Staff and development of policies, procedures, and practice guidelines to optimize APP practice within the institution.

  • Facilitates delivery of safe, effective, and patient/family-centered care that is timely, efficient and equitable.

  • Oversees clinical scheduling for designated areas to ensure adequate patient coverage

  • Will spend 10-20 % admin time, as determined by the section and 80-90% clinical duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program.

  • Currently licensed as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent body, or Certified as a Physician's Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

  • At least two years of experience as an APP.

  • Current BLS issued by the American Heart Associatio is required. ACLS may be required in some areas.
