Robert Half Network Engineer in Atlanta, Georgia

Description

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining reliable and secure network infrastructures to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco-based networking solutions (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless).

  • Manage and monitor network performance to ensure high availability and reliability.

  • Implement and maintain network security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and access control lists (ACLs).

  • Perform regular network maintenance, updates, and system upgrades.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network-related needs and troubleshooting.

  • Provide technical support and guidance on network issues for internal teams.

    Requirements

  • Proven experience with Cisco networking technologies (e.g., Cisco IOS, Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, ASA).

  • Strong understanding of routing and switching protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VLANs, STP).

  • Experience with network security concepts (e.g., firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS).

  • Proficiency in network monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques.

  • Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are preferred.

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
