WestRock Company Manager, Supply Chain in Atlanta, Georgia
This position is responsible for managing the 0-12 month demand plan for all internal Smurfit WestRock regions and the trades program in the nine million ton US/CAN corrugated mill network incorporating the forecast, understanding sourcing requirements across nearly 30 paper machines, checking and adjusting against variances to the plan, projecting monthly shipments, and aligning with cross-functional groups on the plan and communicating the impact to the overall network. This position will be responsible for all associated supply chain metrics and other critical information that drive the containerboard network supply chain tactical and strategic decisions. The S&OP manager will ensure data accuracy in vital systems, demand supply model, and key metric reporting, and influence others to drive excellence in service at the lowest network cost to serve. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, consistent, quick learner, critical thinker, and able to recommend strategic business decisions with tight deadlines. The individual should be experienced in using data and data visualization to influence and motivate others. The S&OP manager is a cross functional leader; connected to all internal segments, financial groups, well as functional areas of the supply chain, including production planning, inventory planning, logistics and warehousing, and leadership.
How you will impact WestRock:
\u2022 Establish and manage the 0-12 month plan for all internal segments and the trades program using forecast updates and plant inventory targets by commodity
\u2022 Maintain strong partnerships with internal Smurfit WestRock planning groups, including inventory and production planning, across several regions to understand forecasted supply requirements, urgent requests, and how variances impact the US/CAN mill network plan
\u2022 Manage trades contract limits and adherence to forecasts to maintain an overall balance with trade partners
\u2022 Proactively identify production constraints and work cross-functional groups to resolve and/or correct active issues for internal segments and trade partners
\u2022 Integrate updated long-term strategic pans into the 0-12 month demand supply plan
\u2022 Coordinate cross functionally to understand medium-term changes to supply and demand plans and work with supply chain leaders to realign on inventory and sales plans
\u2022 Refresh product, demand, and supply plans in the short-term so that strategic and financial objectives are achieved
\u2022 Act as a liaison between trade partners and supply planning throughout the order-to-cash cycle
\u2022 Responsible for communicating and aligning on adjustments to plan in the through operations execution processes touching multiple teams across the business
\u2022 Provide short and near-term scenario recommendations on strategic decisions needed to adjust to planned/unplanned fluctuations in the business
\u2022 Lead and participate in cross-functional continuous improvement projects for process improvement, service and on time delivery improvement, and cost reduction
\u2022 Document standard processes and key decision charts
\u2022 Understand business/division objectives and execute work with alignment
What you need to succeed:
\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree in engineering or business field
\u2022 7+ years of experience in Supply Chain preferred
\u2022 Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
\u2022 Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
\u2022 Through understanding of supply chain processes
\u2022 Experience in data visualization and storytelling is a plus
\u2022 Project management experience is a plus
\u2022 Lean Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt is a plus
\u2022 Strong communication skills with ability to adjust communication style and interact across all levels of the organization
\u2022 Demonstrated ability in performing in a fast-paced, dynamic and demanding environment.
\u2022 Travel 5-10% a possibility
