Robert Half IT Manager in Atlanta, Georgia

Description We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead and oversee the technology infrastructure for our healthcare technology operations. As the IT Director, you will manage a team of entry level IT staff, ensuring the successful implementation, maintenance, and security of our hardware, software, and networking systems. You will be responsible for overseeing the technology that powers our healthcare monitoring systems, including wearable devices, tablets, and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, while also ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the company's IT needs, such as email, Active Directory (AD), Office 365, and device management.

Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and support a small team of 2-6 entry level IT staff members, providing guidance and fostering detail oriented development. Device Management: Oversee the management and deployment of devices, including activity tracker watches, tablets, laptops, and smart scales, ensuring they are integrated with healthcare monitoring systems and fully operational for patient care. System Integration and Maintenance: Manage and maintain the integration of key systems, including EMR systems, Office 365, Microsoft Suite, and other essential software tools across devices. Network and Data Security: Ensure the security of all IT infrastructure, systems, and patient data in accordance with HIPAA and other industry regulations. Oversee backups, system updates, and cybersecurity protocols. Email and Directory Services: Administer the company’s email system (Office 365), Active Directory (AD) for user management, permissions, and access control. IT Support and Troubleshooting: Provide advanced troubleshooting for IT-related issues across hardware and software, particularly with wearable devices, tablets, laptops, printers, and other company technology. Collaboration and Cross-functional Support: Work closely with other departments (including clinical teams and healthcare specialists) to ensure the seamless integration of IT with patient care systems and services. Budget and Procurement: Manage budgets for IT-related purchases, including laptops, tablets, hardware, and software licensing. Make recommendations for new tools or upgrades. Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for hardware repairs, software updates, and ongoing IT support. Documentation and Reporting: Ensure comprehensive documentation for IT policies, procedures, and troubleshooting protocols. Prepare reports on system performance, issue resolution, and team productivity. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CompTIA, or Microsoft certifications) are a plus. Technical Skills: Strong experience with device management, including wearables, tablets, and laptops. Proficient with EMR systems and healthcare technologies. Expertise in Office 365, Active Directory, and Microsoft Suite. Strong understanding of networking, security protocols, and cloud services. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and healthcare data security best practices. Leadership: Proven experience leading and developing a small team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage entry level team members. Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve IT issues quickly and efficiently while maintaining a calm and detail oriented demeanor. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and organization, particularly with device setup, system configurations, and data management. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
