Summary:
Trane Technologies in Atlanta Georgia is looking for a Inventory Manager. This role will supervise and coordinate daily operation of production shift with responsibility for achieving maximum quality and cost effectiveness in an on-time and efficient manner. Actively participates in all areas of employment, performance evaluations, associate relations, and associate development while promoting total employee involvement. Position will be supporting either Inbound, Outbound and Value-Added Services.
Responsibilities:
• Directly supervises warehouse and delivery personnel in store. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Utilize operational excellence including problem solving techniques and MDI to increase efficiencies
• P&L responsibilities (Overtime management, supplies, maintenance, and any warehouse costs)
• Field warehouse operations including but not limited to successful implications of performance scorecard metrics. Deliver business results through maintaining key daily metrics
• Interface directly with customers (internal and external), suppliers, National Distribution Center, Transportation, Customer Service, District General Managers and Store Leaders to assure goal alignment and performance metrics.
• Primary contact for warehousing, customer service, and local transportation issues
• Using material handling equipment, inbound and outbound shipments, loads and unloads trucks, locates and picks material into/out of warehouse racks and between locations, Log inbound freight (UPS, Federal Express, Airborne, DHL)
• Determines accurate material quantities by cycle counting and ensures inventory accuracy
• Receives material into inventory, move material by quantity between designated locations, and locate/pick material to/from warehouse locations as required. Ensures accurate part number, quantity, and other data field entries that impact electronic records of receipts, inventories, location. Resolves discrepancies with material quantities, and part numbers.
• Locates parts insuring that pallets are stable, observing pallet heights, material, racking and equipment are not damaged, and material is not left in aisles.
• Satisfies demands of internal customers to include the timely delivery or removal of designated materials to or from the supported shop. Delivers high priority materials ahead of routine materials previously requested
• Facilitate warehouse safety processes including facility safety audits, incident investigation, and integrating safe work practices throughout daily warehouse operations
• Effectively assesses, selects, on-boards, develops and coaches strong, diverse team of different backgrounds and experiences to achieve performance goals and business results.
Education and/or Experience
• Associate’s (AA) degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Two years leadership experience.
• Experience working in a process management system and priority setting.
• Must be results driven, a strong team player and be able to maintain a high energy level even with challenging situations or customers.
• Forklift experience required.
Key Competencies
• Proficiency in material handling for a distribution or manufacturing environment.
• MDI and Problem Solving experience
• Strong customer service skills.
Compensation:
Base Pay Range : $75,000-$85,000
