HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:
The HR Coordinator is responsible for supporting store employees by troubleshooting issues and collaborating with internal teams to provide timely and effective solutions. The HR Coordinator supports a variety of HR functions and initiatives, while consistently modeling the company's core values. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, a strong communicator, and adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
This role reports to the Manager of Retail HR and is based in our Buckhead Office.
HR FIELD OPERATIONS (70%):
Support the documentation of case notes into system, ensuring compliance with legal and company requirements
Coordinate required compliance postings online and in store locations
Compiles Store Visit data sheets for leaders timely and efficiently
Assist with follow-up and execution of employment-related legal updates, ensuring key actions are taken
Review and manage HR-related communications (electronic/paper) and partner with internal teams for resolution
Support HR transactions in Workday regularly, supporting Senior HR Managers with day-to-day operations; complete Workday tasks
Partner with hiring managers to ensure compliance with State and Federal minor documentation requirements
Ensure I-9 documentation compliance for escalated e-verify cases (e.g., TNC, employee verification, etc.)
Execution of administrative HR processes and procedures; leave notifications, temporary wage letters, penalty pay support, and scheduling exit interviews
Support US minimum wage communication and ensure timely follow-up for annual procedures such as termination file collection
Assist with the performance review process for stores, in partnership with Senior HR Managers
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to Carter’s policies and compliance standards
Project and administrative support as needed
EMPLOYEE SUPPORT & ENGAGEMENT (30%):
Address store employee inquiries with a sense of urgency, collaborating with internal teams to resolve issues related to leaves, benefits, payroll, and other HR matters
Schedule new hire touch-base and exit interview meetings to foster open communication and feedback
Assist with data pulls for climate surveys and support actions based on survey results to enhance employee engagement
Partner with internal teams to document HR procedures and recommend areas for increased efficiency
Review and analyze exit survey data in collaboration with Sr HR Managers to identify key insights and opportunities for improvement
Complete compliance and timesheet audits and partner with managers to ensure completion
WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:
Must have:
Minimum of 1 year experience in customer service, employee relations, and/or human resources
Experience in a fast-paced Retail environment experience preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Proactive attitude with excellent problem-solving and organizational skill
High attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to work in an office environment, with occasional travel required for store visits and openings
Bilingual preferred (Spanish or French)
