Procurement at Nutanix

The Procurement team at Nutanix consists of two full-time employees, with one based in India and the other in the US. They have successfully negotiated large-dollar contracts resulting in significant cost savings for the company. What's unique about this team is their global presence and ability to effectively collaborate across different time zones to secure the best deals for Nutanix. Working with a diverse range of suppliers, the team prioritizes strategic partnerships and innovative solutions to drive value and efficiency in the company's procurement processes.

Your Role

• Act as a project manager, facilitating communication between various stakeholders such as business, finance, legal, and cybersecurity.

• Collaborate with business partners to identify project requirements and manage supplier selection activities, maintaining a competitive procurement process.

• Conduct benchmarking and market intelligence research to inform decision-making.

• Lead total cost of ownership analysis and cost modeling to drive cost-saving initiatives.

• Develop supplier negotiation strategies and actively participate in contract and pricing negotiations with vendors while demonstrating expertise in procurement concepts, policies, and procedures.

What You Will Bring

• Bring your 3-5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing to the table, with software and data privacy experience as a bonus.

• Showcase your excellent negotiation skills and track record of delivering cost savings.

• Dive into the market, technology, product portfolio, and competitors to support business strategy with your recommendations.

• Utilize your global procurement management experience to strategize, analyze, negotiate contracts, and evaluate financial data.

• Utilize your customer service skills to collaborate with key stakeholders and build strong relationships as a trusted advisor.

About Your Manager: Maggie Mingione, Director of Procurement, is a dynamic leader who started the Procurement team at Nutanix. She has driven significant cost savings over the past five years and is currently leading the effort to implement a new modern procurement system.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 97,120 and USD $ 192,960 per year.

However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
