Position Summary

The Morehouse School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics, Division of General Pediatrics invites applications for a full time Assistant/Associate Professor faculty position. We anticipate the start time to be fall of 2025 Spring

This position will build a career at Morehouse School of Medicine that can impact infants, children, and adolescent health with a focus on working with these groups, families, health care systems, and communities to improve well-being and advance health equity.

All Morehouse School of Medicine faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.

Work sessions are defined as half day (4-5 hrs.) clinics. This position offers the opportunity to work 3 clinic sessions per week at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Hughes Spalding and 4 clinic sessions per week at Morehouse Healthcare at Howell Mill Road.

The position also includes time to teach pediatric residents and medical students on their pediatrics clerkship. More formal teaching in the form of lectures/workshops etc. is also expected.

Minimum Qualifications

The successful candidate will have earned a doctorate degree (MD/DO or foreign equivalent), be board certified in General Pediatrics with documented expertise in health services research, health policy, epidemiology, psychology, child development, sociology, or other relevant fields.

Immunization Requirements

It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are required to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID -19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain an exemption from MSM will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
