We are seeking Public Safety Professionals to help keep our community safe. We support Emory Healthcare's mantra of "We're all in this together." Each service has been personally developed for the purpose of exceeding your service expectations. This individual will:

Unarmed Public Safety Officer

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a customer-focused service-based organization, public safety, or military.

  • Must complete EHC PS Basic Officer Course upon hire and FEMA IS 100 & 200 within 12 months.

  • Must obtain IAHSS Basic within 12 months; CPI or Equivalent within 12 months; BLS Certification within 12 months.

Armed Public Safety Officer

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Two (2) years of security, military, or law enforcement experience.

  • Must complete EHC PS Basic Officer Course and EHC PS Firearms Training Course upon hire.

  • Obtain Georgia Secretary of State License for Armed In-House Security Officer upon completion of training and complete FEMA IS 100, 200, 700, 800, 906 within 12 months.

  • Requires a Georgia driver's license and insurable driving record.

  • Must obtain a CPR card within six (6) months of employment.

  • Must obtain IAHSS (International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety) certification within one (1) year of employment.

  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Certification preferred.

  • Must be able to pass extensive Psych Evaluation as a condition of employment.

  • Maintains licensure and proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices and firearms.

Emergency Management Manager

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's in Emergency Management related field, Health care Administration, Public Health, Project Management or a related field;

  • Minimum of three (3) years recent experience in Emergency Preparedness/Management, including strategic planning for disasters and other risks to the community;

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in healthcare; Completed FEMA training ICS 100, 200, 700, 800; Experience/participation with drills and tabletops; Computer skill proficiency in MS office applications; Word, Power Point and Excel.

  • Certificate of Emergency Management (CEM) or Master's Degree in Emergency Management/Preparedness.

Security Training Coordinator

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Some college preferred.

  • Five (5) years of military, law enforcement or security experience, with one (1) year of instructor/training and presentation.

  • Able to exercise physical restraint.

  • Requires a valid CPR card, Georgia drivers license and insurable driving record.

  • IAHSS (International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety) supervisor certification within one (1) year of employment.

  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Certification preferred.

  • Must be able to pass extensive Psych Evaluation as a condition of employment. (Locations with armed officers)

  • Maintains licensure and proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices and firearms.
