Your Opportunity:
A great opportunity exists for a highly motivated Drainage Group Lead to join our Carolinas and Georgia Transportation team. This role is a leadership position, and the ideal candidate will be tasked with establishing a drainage practice within our existing business.
The Drainage Group Lead with broad knowledge and skills in the area of Water Resources and Roadway Drainage design will be responsible for supervision of drainage related tasks and staff; drainage analysis, design and production; bridge hydraulic analysis as well as environmental permitting in accordance with GDOT, SCDOT, NCDOT, local municipality and local drainage district standards, criteria, and accepted practices. This is an opportunity to work on exciting projects of high complexity in collaboration with other very talented staff.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Developing and managing Stantec’s NC, SC, and GA drainage practice and staff.
Apply knowledge of engineering to design roadway drainage improvements for transportation projects.
Work with project support staff to complete project requirements.
Advanced level of technical writing and communication skills required for technical reports and proposals.
Ability to market new clients (business development), with good interpersonal and customer service skills.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field
Licensed Professional Engineer in NC, SC, and GA or ability to obtain within six months.
Minimum 10 years of drainage design experience in the NC, SC, and GA markets.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
