Home Depot Director, Loyalty Strategy & Experience in Atlanta, Georgia

Position Purpose:

The purpose of this position is to deepen the Home Depot's relationship with loyal Pro customers through defining and executing the long term Pro Xtra platform roadmap. The Director, Loyalty Strategy & Experience will be responsible for leveraging customer data, industry insights, and benchmarking to identify and bring to market relevant recognition, rewards, and experiences that deepen member engagement with Pro Xtra. This position will oversee all roadmapping, business case development, program management, testing, and optimization activities associated driving Pro Xtra's long term growth as measured through enrollment, Pro awareness, and incremental Pro share of wallet capture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • PROJECT LEADERSHIP / COORDINATION - Develops an effective plan for controlling project scope, schedule, task assignment, budget, and monitors project execution to ensure the plan is being followed. Documents the project dependencies and ensures a viable work plan is created that result in the on time completion of the project.

  • Consults with senior leadership team, cross-functional business partners and customers to ensure that projects undertaken adequately address requirement related issues.

  • KEY MEETINGS / Events - Manage planning, agenda development, and execution of key SVP meetings and events. Attend where appropriate and provide recaps, tracking and follow-up on action items.

  • COMMUNICATIONS - Develops an effective plan for communicating project information to the project teams and project stakeholders. Develops written status reports and scorecards and creates/presents project review documents to senior leadership. Collects and documents project issues and manages their timely resolution.

  • LESSONS LEARNED - At the completion of a project or initiative captures key lessons learned and communicates to senior leadership team and business partners. Effectively applies lessons learned in subsequent projects.

  • ENVIRONMENT - Shares responsibility with the project leadership for providing a good working environment. Ensures duties and responsibilities are understood by everyone and that an inclusive environment is maintained.

Direct Manager/Direct Reports:

  • Position reports to the Senior Director, Consumer Loyalty

  • 5 direct reports

Travel Requirements:

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.

  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must have working loyalty program knowledge and have spent a minimum of 2 years working directly on a loyalty or similar team

  • Must be proficient in loyalty program funding models

  • Must have experience developing and presenting business cases to secure resources for loyalty benefit development

  • Must have experience creating cost monitoring models for scaled loyalty currencies

  • Advanced PowerPoint / presentation creation skills are required

  • Ability to navigate through the matrix of the organization 

  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing demands 

  • Ability to influence without authority

Minimum Education:

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
