Position Overview:

The Digital Asset Coordinator will play a critical role in driving consistency with asset tagging and uploading that will drive efficiency in our current processes. This role will be responsible for coordinating, storing, cataloging, and distributing digital assets within Newell Brands. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with several cross-functional team members.

Location: This is a hybrid role and must be based in one of our offices located in Hoboken, NJ, Kalamazoo, MI or South Deerfield, MA.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute uploading and tagging of all creative assets that follows standard tagging protocol that includes following digital content playbooks.

  • Ensure metadata tagging of all creative assets uploaded adhere to data architecture standards and best practices.

  • Identify and tag User-Generated Content (UGC) from social media platforms or other sources as directed by Performance Marketing and Creative leaders

  • Properly tag and categorize UGC content in the DAM system as it relates to product identification and rights usage, for future use in marketing materials and campaigns.

  • Conduct regular audits of the digital asset library to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with digital content playbooks, alt text, VTT, and tagging standards.

  • Work with outside agency partners, internal teams, and new AI tools to develop automations. Initiatives to include improved DAM keyword accuracy, tagging, rights management, alt text/VTT, and report on content readiness.

  • Implement digital asset management strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient organization and retrieval of digital assets.

  • Partner with IT and the DAM software client services team to help maximize our investment in the software.

  • Work directly with Design, Digital Merchandising, DTC, IT and Brand team to resolve data management needs.

  • Work closely with Data Governance team to implement the process of digital asset management uploading and tagging to meet strict quality standards.

  • Document best practices, research options for continuous improvement, and provide recommendations for technical innovation pathways.

  • Proactively advise cross-functional partners of upcoming usage expirations.

  • Contribute to discussions of metadata standards and data harmonization across projects.

  • Provide input for cross functional team needs for new data management infrastructure.

  • Participate in internal cross-functional data infrastructure projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Information Science, Digital Media or equivalent professional experience.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of asset management, enterprise content management, or supporting DAM systems for a large client or company.

  • Strong understanding of digital asset management principles, standards, and best practices.

  • Experience working with DAM systems (e.g., Media Beacon, Adobe Experience Manager, Bynder, Widen, etc.).

  • Familiarity with graphic design, photography, video production, and other creative processes is a plus.

  • Knowledge of copyright laws and usage rights for digital assets.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines

  • Experience working within cross-functional marketing and creative teams.

  • Detail-oriented and able to execute with considerations of the macro and micro level of impact of asset management
