Work Location: Hybrid - Atlanta, GA - Mostly remote, with on-site presence required based business needs. At least once per week required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant degree in finance, healthcare, or analytics.

  • Relevant work experience in a hospital setting or healthcare consulting environment.

  • Solid working knowledge of healthcare terminology, hospital operations, charge master, billing practices, general ledger data, and payroll data.

  • Solid understanding of healthcare coding, billing, and reimbursement practices such as ICD-10, HCPCS/CPT, MS-DRG, APC.

  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel including PivotTables, Power Pivot, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, advanced logic such as nested "IF" statements.

  • Experience with data visualization software such as Power BI with experience in DAX.

  • Experience with SQL and database query languages.

  • Experience with EPSi or Strata decision support software.

  • Experience with Epic Cogito reporting platform including Clarity or Caboodle.

  • Excellent attention to detail with analytical ability to gather, organize, interpret data, and identify discrepancies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience working efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

  • Creativity, curiosity, drive, initiative, resourcefulness, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee Vizient's Operational Database (ODB) tool, previously known as Action OI,while promoting a culture of continuous improvement through regular collaboration and knowledge sharing sessions across the enterprise.

  • Be responsible forsubmitting, analyzing, and interpreting data from theODB, inaccordance with the definitions outlined in the Department Reference Manual (DRM), to generate actionable insights and recommendations while collaborating cross-functionally across departments to implement strategies based on insights derived from the data.

  • Utilize the ODB to enhance decision-making andoptimizeoperational processes within the organization byidentifyingtrends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement in various aspects of hospital operations including employee productivity, supply chain management, cost reduction initiatives, and quality improvement efforts.

  • Perform data collection, interpretation, and analysis for productivity benchmarking initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of annual budgets and long-term financial plans.

  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance.

  • Develop andmaintaincomplex financial models to support strategic initiatives.

  • Analyze thefinancial impactof proposed projects or changes in business strategies.

  • Playa central rolein the forecasting process, working closely with senior management.

  • Provideaccurateandtimelyfinancial forecasts based on industry trends and organizational goals.

  • Lead cost-benefit analysis for major projects and initiatives.

  • Identifyopportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies.

  • Providefinancial insights to support decision-making by senior management.

  • Collaborate with department heads to analyze financial implications of various business strategies.

  • Oversee the preparation of detailed financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Contribute to the development of the organization's strategic financial goals.

  • Participate in strategic planning sessions and provide financial perspectives.

  • Utilize advanced data analysis tools and techniques to extract actionable insights.

  • Present findings to management in a clear and understandable manner.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and insights.

  • Work closely with accounting and other departments to ensure financial accuracy.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 years in financial planning and analysis.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degreerequired
