Capital City Club Club Manager - Brookhaven in Atlanta, Georgia

The Opportunity

Capital City Club is seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to serve as the Club Manager for its Brookhaven Clubhouse. This leadership role is responsible for the oversight and management of all Clubhouse departments, providing strategic direction and support to department heads, including the Executive Chef, Executive Housekeeper, Club Events Director, and Assistant Club Manager.

The successful candidate will be a leader, mentor, and ambassador, embodying the tradition of family-focused culture that fosters a thriving environment for current and future generations of Capital City Club members.

Reporting directly to the COO/General Manager, the Club Manager is a key member of the Executive Management Team. This role is responsible for operational excellence, staff leadership, budget management, and providing exceptional member experience. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of achievement in high-quality organizations and demonstrate the ability to lead, inspire, and cultivate high-performing teams.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the club, including food and beverage, housekeeping, maintenance, security, and Clubhouse operations.

  • Approve budgets, staffing plans, and operating procedures for all departments.

  • Monitor budgets and implement corrective actions to ensure financial goals are met.

  • Ensure accurate and timely billing for all member events and dining venues.

  • Assist the General Manager in developing and executing long-term strategic and annual business plans, reports, forecasts, and budgets.

  • Oversee daily club operations, ensuring cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and compliance with all standards.

  • Plan and manage facility improvements, remodeling, and construction projects in collaboration with relevant committees.

  • Interact with members to resolve concerns, answer questions, and ensure exceptional service and satisfaction.

  • Hire, supervise and train Clubhouse Management personnel, fostering a culture of excellence and professionalism.

  • Serve as a visible presence during peak time to ensure smooth operations.

  • Participate in facility inspections, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and compliance with safety procedures and OSHA standards.

  • Provide regular updates for the club’s newsletter about operations and events at Brookhaven.

  • Actively participates in Board meetings, providing updates, insights, and strategic recommendations, demonstrating familiarity and comfort with governance practices and the Club's mission and vision.

    Qualifications and Expectations

  • Proven track record of leadership in high-quality organizations, preferably within the private club industry.

  • Strong knowledge of clubhouse operations, including food and beverage service.

  • CCM certification is preferred, though commitment to pursuing CCM accreditation and continuous self-development will also be considered.

  • Ability to effectively lead teams and foster professional growth among staff.

  • Flexibility to perform opening and closing duties, including those related to security.

  • Enthusiasm for engaging with members, including participating in member events.

  • A bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

  • A minimum of five (5) years of management experience in a club or similar environment.

  • Proven experience in food and beverage operations, with knowledge of building safety and maintenance procedures.

  • Familiarity with accounting principles, budgets and financial processes.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively direct, coach, and motivate staff.

  • Exceptional interpersonal qualities, including fairness, courtesy, patience, and tact.
