Description We are opening a short term contract employment opportunity for an Attorney/Lawyer in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is in the service industry and requires a strong technical background. The selected candidate will work closely with various internal teams, managing the invention disclosure process, and dealing with patent applications.

Responsibilities:

• Review and prepare company patent applications

• Manage the patent portfolio and departmental clearance processes

• Assist in mitigating the risk of patent infringement lawsuits by conducting patent research for clearance analysis

• Identify protectable assets and manage the patent application process

• Review licenses, IP provisions in commercial agreements, and NDAs

• Support IP litigation through infringement analysis and compiling relevant discovery

• Assist in identifying and brainstorming innovations with marketing, product integrity, and design teams

• Support trademark prosecution and IP licensing

• Work closely with the Deputy General Counsel and other internal teams

• Communicate with engineers and other internal stakeholders regarding patent issues. Requirements • Must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

• Must be admitted to the state bar and in good standing

• Experience in the service industry is preferred

• Strong knowledge and experience in patent application procedures

• Proficiency in handling invention disclosures

• Excellent understanding and experience in IP licensing

• Ability to provide legal advice and consultation

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• High attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proven track record of excellent judgment and pragmatic approach to delivering legal services

• Ability to manage outside counsel and control legal expenditure

• Must possess strong ethical and detail-oriented standards.
