How you’ll make an impact:

The Accounting Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the financial health of an organization. This position involves analyzing financial data, preparing detailed reports, and offering actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. The role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to identify trends and patterns within financial data which will contribute to accurate financial reporting, budget management, and overall financial planning, making it an essential part of any organization’s finance team. This role typical reports into our Sr Manager, Accounting and is based in our Buckhead office.

Analysis & Reporting - 60%

  • Prepare monthly/quarterly expense analyses of accounting transactions and compose reports that adequately communications variance explanations.

  • Tableau Dashboard Reporting & Monitoring

  • Quarterly reporting of key retail performance indicators

  • Creating financial analysis charts, reports, and presentations

  • Completing government report forms

  • Overseeing budget submissions

  • Prepare ad hoc analysis for management

Accounting, Internal Controls and Communications - 40%

  • Monthly/quarterly retail finance close procedures and reporting of financial results, including monthly/quarterly reconciliation of retail balance sheet accounts

  • Analyze balance sheet and expense accounts and prepare necessary journal entry adjustments

  • Daily/monthly reconciliation of expected retail credit card settlements at the point of sale to actual settlements and deposits

  • Partner with internal business partners to review actual spend vs. the budget/forecasts and create the necessary journal entry adjustments. Assist with the reforecast of the budget based on actuals

  • Ownership of internal controls

  • Maintain systems and databases based on changes in business

  • Assist with internal and external audit requests

  • Significant internal communication with internal business partners to drive company initiatives and ensure the completeness and accuracy of our financial statements (i.e. Sales Audit, Lease Administration, Loss Prevention, Treasury, Internal

Must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 1-2 years of Accounting experience

  • Proficiency in Tableau, with experience in creating and managing reports, analytics and dashboards

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a resourceful approach

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Advanced Excel skills with a focus on data analytics, attention to detail

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
