FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
LOCATION: Athens, TX
REPORTS TO: Quality Manager
Summary: Under General supervision, work on the production line, as part of a team, to test and ensure proper completion of the electrical components of manufactured housing, and perform quality work at a fast moving and consistent manner.
Responsibilities ( other duties may be assigned ):
Conducts a dielectric strength test, polarity, operational and continuity test for each floor
Reponsible for 'closing up' the electrical crossovers and the electrical panel box
Will be cross trained to perform high and low pressure gas tests
Responsible for measuring and recording the height of each floor
Will assist Final Finish with weighing homes
Responsible for completing a testing checklist for each floor
Responsible for ensuring all data accumulated on a daily basis is turned into the QA office
Additional job duties as required and assigned
Ensures all quality control policies, procedures, directives and systems within compliance of company and/or applicable federal regulations, continually strives to increase the level of quality assurance within the facility.
Ensures all safety policies and procedures are followed in accordance with guidelines established by the Company in accordance with OSHA regulations.
Qualifications:
Basic understanding of electrical functions
Ability to physically work under houses and use a creeper
Ability to climb ladders and work on top of homes
Must be able to read a tape measure
Knowledge and ability to use computer/laptop, copy machines and printers comfortably is a plus
Must be able to meet deadlines, work under pressure, follow best practices and company policies
Must be able to multitask and consistently follow best practices when making inspections
Must be able to resolve issues calmly and with professional conduct
Understanding of all quality measures
Understanding of the construction process of factory-built housing
Sense of urgency in resolving issues and improving processes is required
Must be results driven and be able to focus on customer expectations
Must have good verbal and written communication skills; must be able to read and write legibly
Must be teamwork oriented and have a positive work attitude
Must be able to climb, bend and stoop
Education and/or Experience:
- High School degree and or some college, or one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
