Description:

Position Summary: To assist with the coordination of the ongoing processes for identifying opportunities to improve the quality of care and services at St. Mary’s Health Care System. To assist with the coordination of Medical Staff Performance Improvement activities. To compile data and assist with maintaining Physician profiles.

II. Position Requirements :

A: Licensure/Certification/Registration : Current Georgia Registered Nursing License.

B. Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

C: Experience: Three to five years recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital.

D. Special Qualifications: Requires working knowledge of current policies/procedures, which relate to various aspects of care and services rendered, as they pertain to quality and the opportunity to improve performance. Must have an understanding of the nature of the sensitive nature of the information handled in the department. Must have general knowledge of state and federal regulations and standards regarding performance improvement activities, including JCAHO. Requires knowledge of hospital and departmental policies. Must possess excellent organizational, leadership, oral, written and interpersonal skills. Must have some computer knowledge.
