Medical Sonographer, Ultrasound Tech,PRN, Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia, GA

  • What you do:

  • Under direction of the radiologist, utilizes equipment producing two/ three dimensional high frequency sound waves to create diagnostic images of the human body for use in diagnosis of disease or organ malfunctions.

  • Participate with physicians in reading sonographs and making diagnostic judgments based on test results. What you need:

  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: Registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) (RVT) or (ARRT). If registry eligible, must be registered by the ARDMS or ARRT in ultrasound within 1 year of your hire date. Preferred additional (ARRT)(RT

  • registered CPR BLS Certification, thru American Heart Association

  • Education: Graduate of an AMA approved school of sonography or radiology

  • Experience: Experience necessary to demonstrate competence. 1 year experience preferred.
