Position: Human Resources Coordinator
Location: Athens Campus
Department: Human Resources
Reports to: Director of Human Resources
Salary/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with education and experience. State of Georgia benefits package.

Responsibilities:
Partner with HR and hiring managers in all recruitment activities to include posting open positions, reviewing resumes for qualifications, checking references, processing written job offers, and conducting employee onboarding.
Manage the day-to-day activities in the Applicant Tracking System to include updating applicant status, sending out turndown letters, and closing position announcements as they are filled.
Respond to benefit questions including pensions (TRS, ERS, GSEPS, GDCP), health insurance, flexible benefits, and supplement retirement plans.
Develop and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on recruitment efforts.
Ensure background investigations, I-9 verifications, and e-Verify are conducted in accordance with state and federal requirements.
Perform data entry, create and maintain accurate employee files, tracks necessary information, and stay abreast of missing or inaccurate information or unresponsiveness to requests.
Processes monthly payroll to include all full-time & part-time payroll.
Perform general administrative duties such as answering the phone, maintaining files, filing paperwork, completing reports, ordering supplies, sorting mail, and related tasks.
Manage faculty and staff annual State of Georgia/TCSG required trainings.
Conduct bi-annually MVR checks on all full-time faculty and staff and part-time faculty and staff who may drive on ATC business.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree and Three (3) years of work-related experience.
*Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis. *
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree.
Proficient with PeopleSoft HCM and Hirebridge applicant tracking system.
Two (2) years of experience with Time and Labor processing.
Two (2) years of experience with State Health Benefit and Flexible Benefit plans and processing.
Experience with the Governor’s Office/Technical College System of Georgia required trainings implementation.
Three (3) years of experience with the Technical College System of Georgia payroll systems and/or experience within institutions of higher education, which includes demonstrated direct responsibility for entering and submitting payroll.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
