Athens Model Neighborhood Health Center, Inc. Front Office Support Specialist in Athens, Georgia
POSITION OVERVIEW:Under the supervision of the Site Manager, the Front Office Support Specialist I meets and greets patients and coordinates all activities of patients in the front office. This includes working within the call center.
OFFICE HOURS: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 8 AM - 5 PM; Tuesday: 8 AM - 7 PM; Friday: 8 AM - 2 PM Saturday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM (rotating Saturday schedule)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greeting patients and determining patient services
- Securing patient records
- Supplying patients with required forms
- Verifying and updating patient information
- Requesting insurance and income verification
- Transferring patient information into electronic health record
- Scheduling appointments
- Answering telephones
- Compiling missed appointment list
- Monitoring condition of waiting area (temperature, cleanliness, etc.)
- Calling and reminding patients of scheduled appointments
- For bilingual staff, translating, when needed

- Skilled in word processing and data entry
- Bilingual preferred
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
High School diploma and 2 years front office experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: From $15.00 perhour (+$1/hour for bilingual staff)
