Job responsibilities:  Performs routine clerical duties related to purchasing functions. Responsible for processing purchase orders originated through PRC's, blanket purchase orders and government agency contracts.

Essential functions:

• Review requisitions to determine what vendors are to be contacted for price quotations and placement of contracts; evaluate bids and select vendors

• Ensure adherence to quality standards, required delivery schedules and contractual terms

• Conduct follow-up on purchase orders past due with appropriate vendor

• Coordinate with Accounting and Property departments relative to accuracy of pricing data

Education and Experience Requirements:

• HSD/ GED and 1 year experience in purchasing

• Must type a minimum of 40 words per minute, ten-key by sight and be computer proficient

• A valid driver license in the state where the facility is located with an acceptable driving record is required.
