  • RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Have responsibility for the integrity and management of the accounting ledgers

  • Responsible for producing the monthly financial accounts package within 4 working days according to US GAAP rules

  • Prepare and post monthly journals including payroll, accruals, and provisions

  • Perform Balance sheet analysis, P&L analysis and monthly Balance reconciliations including Payroll, Inventory & VAT as required

  • Preparation and submission of local returns, including VAT, Intrastat, Withholding Taxes, Enasarco, FIRR

  • Liaising with Global Business Services on Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Intercompany and Fixed Assets transactions

  • Review Internal Control procedures (for SOX compliance) and assist with internal and external audits

  • First point of contact for the external auditors and prepare the local Statutory accounts and assist in the preparation of the annual Corporation Tax computations.

  • Other duties as requested

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE & INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

  • A qualified accountant with at least 3 years relevant experience

  • A good knowledge of SOX, US GAAP would be advantageous

  • A good systems background in Oracle would be advantageous

  • Fluent in Italian and English

  • MS Office Suite - Advanced Level

  • Good understanding of the regulatory frameworks - Statutory and Tax

  • Good interpersonal skills with experience of working in a diverse environment

  • Organizes and expresses ideas and information clearly, using appropriate and efficient methods of conveying the information.
