Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to plant equipment maintenance. Your duties will include working on pumps, rotary equipment, motors, gear pumps, welding, and plumbing/pipefitting. You will operate off work orders, rebuild motors, and perform both reactive and preventative maintenance as well as project work to enhance the facility. You will work indoors and outdoors, operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, work on scissor lifts and in confined spaces, and weld (mostly stick) pipes.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Ashtabula, Ohio.

Work Environment

This role involves working in a manufacturing environment that can be hot in summer and cold in winter. You will be handling hazardous chemicals and full PPE is required. Reimbursements for steel toes are provided, and we offer 13 uniforms via Cintas. Candidates get 30 minutes at the end of each shift to change and shower. Comfortability with the strong smell of sulfur due to the chemicals worked with is a necessity. This role involves both indoor and outdoor work, and we do our best to schedule outdoor tasks around the weather. The work schedule for this role is first shift only, from 7am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday.
