JOB REQUIREMENTS: Provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Functions within the scope of practice of a Licensed Practical Nurse. Applies the nursing process to maximize the health status of the patients within the parameters of hospital policy and the Wisconsin Nurse Practice Act. Provides direct and indirect patient care. Provides care that meets the individual psychosocial and physical needs of patients and family served. Maintains regulatory requirements, nursing and patient care policies, procedures and standards. Communicates with RN / charge nurse any changes in patient\'s clinical condition. Understands and supports MMC Mission, Vision and Values, the principles and activities of True North, and organizational goals. Requirements: -Must be able to read and comprehend written materials of a complex level written in English. -Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing including the ability to make effective group presentations in English. -Must be able to comprehend and make mathematical computations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and statistical applications. -Within three months of hire, understands and effectively uses Microsoft Office, Laborworkx, and clinical documentation systems pertinent to role.
