Shipping Manager\ Masardis, ME FT/Days Temp-to-Hire Opportunity\ \ Job Description:\ \ Immediate opening for a Shipping Manager to work for a well-established business in Masardis! Excellent daytime schedule with competitive pay and a wide selection of benefits; PTO, health, dental, and retirement account. Two or more years of previous inventory management experience required. FT/Days; 7:30 AM 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday; \$23.00-\$25.00/hr.\ \ The Shipping Manager will track all incoming and outgoing shipments for the facility to ensure that raw materials and finished products are delivered on schedule. The employee will be responsible for processing shipment documentation, negotiating with carriers, and ensuring that inventory records are accurate and up to date. Ideal candidate will have at least two years of shipping/inventory management background, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills.\ \ Responsibilities:
- Use specialized software programs to track shipments.
- Review production estimates with the companys sales team and plan orders in advance to avoid delays.
- Negotiate rates and arrange shipment services with carriers.
- Track arriving shipments and ensure that billing matches contracted rates.
- Check in with shipping operators to verify inventory information.
- Invoice orders that are loaded and enroute.
- Review carriers insurances and request new or updated insurance certification as needed.
- Accurately record and organize shipment and inventory data.
- Provide sales and management teams with routine reports and shipping forecasts.
- Oversee annual inventory review.
- Perform other relevant duties as requested by the site supervisor.
\ Job Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent education. Associates degree in related field or CPIM certification strongly preferred.
- Two or more years of inventory management experience.
- Strong mathematical and computer skills; working knowledge of shipment tracking software and Excel.
