What You Will Do:

Pratt & Whitney is looking for a customer-focused, proactive, energetic and collaborative HR Coordinator to join and support our Human Resources team in Asheville, North Carolina. This is an hourly non-exempt position. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the human resource experience for Pratt & Whitney Asheville employees.

This is a 1st Shift position (Monday – Friday). However, this position will require flexibility to support other shifts on occasion based on business requirements, including 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and Weekend shift (Friday – Sunday) coverage.

In this role, you will utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization. You will thrive in a fast-paced and team-oriented work environment by multi-tasking and effectively organizing and prioritizing your workload in support of our employees. In this role, you will be expected to be a “self-starter” with the willingness to support strategic Human Resources priorities while taking ownership of assigned projects to contribute to results under minimal supervision. This role will require you to utilize strong judgement skills when handling escalations or cases containing highly sensitive and confidential personal information.

  • Provide Human Resources support to employees on the production floor.

  • Assist employees with general Human Resources, Benefits, or system access questions, as well as connect and refer employees to appropriate resources such as RTX Communities of Expertise, People Services, or the Help Desk.

  • Produce and distribute personnel reports.

  • Coordinate and conduct new hire orientation for the site, including printing/organizing new hire packets and filing signed employee documents.

  • Audit the 180-day Introductory Period performance evaluations which are to be completed four-times within the 180-day cycle.

  • Support supervisors with policy questions and new supervisor training.

  • Provide assistance with the Employee Resource Group and Employee Engagement teams.

  • This role requires proficiency to read, write, and speak in English to effectively communicate with the employees and other customers that you will be supporting.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 5 years of customer service or Human Resources experience; OR Associate’s Degree with 2 years of experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. Citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
