We are seeking a Tax Staff - Public to join our team in ARVADA, Colorado, 80002, United States. The primary function of this role is to oversee the preparation and review of tax returns, provide tax planning advice, analyze financial statements, and maintain strong client relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring accurate and compliant filings.

• Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for tax savings.

• Communicate effectively with clients to collect necessary financial information and address any tax-related queries.

• Provide proactive tax planning advice to clients and suggest strategies to minimize tax liabilities.

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their satisfaction and loyalty.

• Analyze financial statements and documents to identify areas for tax optimization.

• Conduct thorough reviews of clients' financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Conduct in-depth research on tax issues and changes in tax legislation, providing recommendations based on the latest developments.

• Collaborate with other members of the tax planning team to ensure a cohesive and efficient workflow.

• Maintain accurate and organized client files, ensuring all relevant documentation is collected and stored securely.

• Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to tax accounting to enhance skills and knowledge.

• Use various accounting software systems, such as CaseWare, CCH IntelliConnect, CCH Prosystem, and CCH ProSystem Fx, to perform accounting functions and auditing.

• Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including those related to entity formation, financial statements, complex tax returns, and corporate income tax.

• Pursue ongoing professional development and education to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as auditing, compliance, and IRS enrolled agent responsibilities.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role

• Must have a thorough understanding of Accounting Functions

• Knowledge of Entity Formation and Financial Statement preparation is a must

• Ability to handle Complex Tax Return, Corporate Income Tax, and Corporate Tax Return is required

• CPA Track or hold a CPA Designation or Enrolled Agent is highly desirable
