Title: Chemistry Lab Analyst
Location: Arvada, Co
Schedule: M-F (2nd shift) 3pm-12am
Pay: $25 per/HR + 10% shift difference
Type: 6-month contract to hire based on performance
Start date: Immediate
Are you looking to build a career in the environmental industry with hands-on lab experience? We are seeking a motivated individual with a strong interest in analytical instrumentation to join our team as an ICP-MS / Instrumentation Analyst. While experience with ICP, ICP-MS, or Hg analysis is a plus, it’s not required—we provide full training! In this role, you’ll evaluate instrument performance and QC parameters in real time, perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting, and assist with lab operations, including sample preparation.
Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth sample analysis using gas chromatography/mass spectrometer.
Review and report data with precision and accuracy.
Optimize, calibrate, and maintain advanced equipment for optimal performance.
Collaborate with team members to organize departmental work efficiently.
Uphold and comply with quality assurance/quality control requirements.
Generate comprehensive data package reports and maintain detailed logbooks.
Perform routine instrument maintenance to ensure quality control standards are met.
Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety Guidelines, and the Employee Handbook.
Requirements:
Proven experience in the daily operation of Agilent ICP-MS and related equipment.
Proficiency in computer skills, scientific methodologies, and organizational tasks.
Strong communication skills (oral and written) with meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Demonstrated self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science/Geology/Biology/Chemistry with a minimum of 1 year of experience with PCB’s.
Bonus points for expertise in pesticide and residue detection, environmental analysis, or organic preparation.
