Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate with Operation Manager on New Hire Training.
Train drivers on CDL driving, testing, ELD logging and trip reports.
Train drivers on strapping, loading and DOT laws before moving equipment.
Train new operators on crane safety, logging, inspection, and operations.
Monitor field employees to ensure proper safety and operating procedures are followed.
Present updated information to the lead operators to ensure consistent safety knowledge.
Inspect cranes and truck to ensure equipment is being used properly.
Train Operators to perform equipment inspections to ensure correct procedures are followed.
Train Operators on correct procedures of operating various types of isolation tools, frac valves, zipper equipment and wireline products.
Train Operators on building, greasing, and redressing various Isolation tools, testing procedures and parameters of various tools. (Rates, PSI rating, I.D., O.D., bolt sizes, ring gaskets, etc).
Train Operators on building, greasing, and redressing various gate valves, zipper bridges, manifold spooling, testing procedures and parameters of various tools. (Sizes, PSI rating, bolt sizes, ring gaskets, etc).
Train Operators in general procedural knowledge of spotting equipment, rigging up, proper swings, etc.
Train operators on performing load out sheets, reading call sheets and prepping equipment before leaving the district shop.
Train Operators on promoting customer and service company relations.
Train Operators on general overview of types of procedures pumped through tools.
Train Operators on safety gear requirements, safety procedure for cranes, field equipment, driving and safety in field operations.
Communicate training data with managers and upper management in written and verbal formats.
Perform other duties that are assigned by supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must be able to demonstrate ability to train others
Expert knowledge of all tools and equipment utilized by company
Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Effective communication skills when dealing with all levels of employees.
Must have knowledge of common best training and safety practices for the oil and gas industry
Must be able to complete paperwork completely and precisely
Must have ability to travel extensively
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Must have at least 5 years’ experience in industry, with at least 3 years as FST III
Must have successfully passed all OSES Field competency-based tests
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
Supervisor experience strongly preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to frequently lift and move materials up to 75 pounds. Anything over 75lbs requires a forklift or team assist.
Able to lift 75 lbs. from 6-inch level up to a 50-inch level frequently
Swing a 6 lb. sledgehammer in a hammering motion across the chest frequently
Ability to use fine hand and finger motor skills
Ability to push/pull 100 lbs. of force frequently
Ability to climb up equipment such as a forklift, ladder frequently
Requires standing, walking. Also requires pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, carrying, sitting, climbing, balancing, reaching with hands and arms, for extended periods of time each day.
Exposure to shop contaminates such as oils, chemical cleaners, and paint.
May be required to pass pulmonary function test to wear proper respirator.
Requires safety glasses, steel toe boots and ear plugs to be worn at all times.
Requires exposure to warm, hot, and cold temperatures.
Requires exposure to moderate noise levels.
Must have good manual dexterity to perform daily tasks and operate machines, computers, or other standard office equipment.
Must have vision and hearing within normal range.
