This role is part of the Blue Origin Engines business unit, where our focus is the design, development, manufacturing, and testing of engines and propulsion systems. Special Mentions: * Relocation provided * Travel expected up to * Shifts available: o A Shift Mon-Friday 7 AM - 4 PM * Interviews will include a technical assessment As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, and engineers, your responsibilities include but are not limited to: Proficient in CAD software, either Creo, Solidworks, or Catia/Unigraphics with the ability to cross train in others Solidification Modeling Experience, specifically use of Pro-Cast or Magma, as it applies to casting development and refinement Developing routing and instructions for processing of components Collaborative interaction with colleagues processing the parts Providing engineering support to operations as needed (Safety, Quality, and Rate) Safely work with hazardous systems, chemicals, and materials using the proper PPE Identify, develop, and deploy new manufacturing methods (or refine existing) to improve quality, reduce cost, and optimize build schedule Support DFMEA and PFMEA studies to strengthen the feedback loop between design, build, and test Identify non-conformances and escapes, support and deploy corrective actions Employee training and engagement at all levels of the organization Other responsibilities as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering: Mechanical or Material Science preferred 5+ years of relevant Casting experience 3+ years of Solidification Modeling experience, specifically Pro-Cast or Magma, as it applies to casting development and refinement Experience developing routings and instruction for processing of components Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately at all levels of the organization Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
