Job Description

Purpose & Scope:

This position provides technical application support for complex ECM applications, analyzing, evaluating, and troubleshooting and provides high level analysis of multiple modules and/or highly complex applications. The analyst understands and translates the business functionality into required workflows in order to successfully configure and build the system. Plans and prepares test scripts for application testing, integration testing and user acceptance testing. Provides application and technical support for the product line in addition to providing triage and troubleshooting to the product end users. Monitors the systems for data quality, efficiency, operation, and data integrity and appropriately escalates issues/problems. This role provides system analysis, design, development, documentation, and configuration, innovative application deployment, as well as testing and training of the product. The Document Management Analyst provides standardization direction for the product -- aligning the application version and workflow with current standards. Under supervision, gathers and analyzes user needs for developing and modifying applications in the healthcare environment. Analyzes complex results, proposes solutions and/or recommendations in addition to building, configuring and/or modifying the application using existing application tools. This role also provides complex application support, writes documentation and specifications. The Systems Document Management Analyst II is responsible for achieving in-depth knowledge of document management software and serves as a liaison between end users and other ECM implementation staff. Conducts regular communication with the installation team, reviews the software, analyzes business operations, and works with the vendor, project team(s), business representatives, subject matter experts, and end users to tailor the system to fit the organization's needs. The Analyst routinely performs in-depth analyses of workflows, data collection, report details/specifications, and assists with technical issues and is responsible for developing and documenting the internal procedures that are used in conjunction with the applications, designs, builds, tests, installs and maintains those solutions. Evaluate and understand dependencies between applications to understand if making a change in one application would have a negative impact in another application.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in a health, science, or business field, or an equivalent level of professional experience required

Experience:

• Three years industry related experience in a IS setting (Healthcare/Health Services, Information Services) or within applicable area in healthcare operations, with a minimum 3 years progressively responsible experience in information applications, including performing programming or applications analysis, or equivalent. Thorough understanding of hospital operations.• Two or more years of experience working with OnBase, LexMark, ChartMax or Cerner Document Management ECM solutions.• One or more years of experience working on an ECM solution from configuration with success and taking Document Management from build to ‘go live’ are highly desirable.• Experience with the following: SQL, Relational Database, XML, HTML and or vbScripting, web applications and Microsoft Visio.• A solid background in the operation of a hospital and must be willing to learn how to implement the ECM solutions for multiple areas (AP, HIM, HR/PR and various other areas). Familiar with integration points with other areas of the hospital and other applications such as Epic, Lawson, etc.

Certification/Licensure:

Epic Certification: application specific preferred.
