Within AWS, the Worldwide Public Sector (WWPS) Customer Enablement Organization is responsible for supporting Public Sector customers and partners in their journey to the cloud. Our vision is to promote long-term healthy AWS relationships by ensuring AWS WWPS customers and partners have the operational knowledge, best practices, processes, and mechanisms in place to effectively manage operational aspects of their AWS business.

Key job responsibilities

As the Customer Enablement Strategic Programs Owner, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving the successful delivery of large-scale, complex programs that span multiple functions and teams within the Customer Enablement organization. You should be a self-starter who is highly analytical and data-driven, and breaks down complex problems, synthesizes insights, and drives strategic decision-making. Working in a cross-functional capacity, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders to define program vision, roadmaps, and execution plans, and hold individuals and teams accountable to goals to ensure alignment and successful outcomes.

About Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of workplace experience to include 3+ years of experience in program/project management, with a track record of delivering large, complex programs

• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize data into actionable insights using SQL, Tableau, or other data management tools

• Demonstrated success in leading and coordinating the efforts of cross-functional teams

• Prior experience using project and program management tools and methodologies (i.e. PMP certification, agile, or scrum, etc.)

• Stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization

Preferred Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in a STEM field, business, or related discipline

• AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification

• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities

• Passionate about driving innovation and continuous improvement

• Self-starter with a natural curiosity to learn new skills in an ever-changing environment

• Robust critical thinking skills and the capacity to creatively resolve problems using diverse and adaptable tools/processes

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $79,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $169,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
