Are you passionate about managing a security program at scale? Amazon’s AWS Security team is looking for a customer obsessed, talented, creative, and driven security engineer to scale our capabilities through automated solutions. As a security technical program manager, you will use various datasets from multiple business units to build innovative automated reporting to surface key insights and provide risk analysis capabilities for our internal builder teams.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze various disparate datasets from multiple business units, to surface actionable security insights.

  • Build machine learning models to enable automated risk analysis capabilities, discovery, classification, and scoring capabilities across third party software.

  • Engage with partner teams to identify and develop process improvements, automation capabilities, and minimize risk exposure.

  • Conduct architecture and design reviews on third party platforms.

  • Develop key metrics to assess impact on risk reduction across builder team products and services.

  • Develop automated reporting capabilities to surface new insights to support ongoing initiatives.

  • Rapidly prototype pragmatic solutions using data.

Key job responsibilities

• Define, scope, manage, and ensure the successful delivery of security reviews and other security initiatives and products from start to finish. This includes collecting business and systems requirements from stakeholders, authoring specifications, driving end-to-end project schedules, reducing risks, and reporting status

• Collect inputs from business, security, technical teams, and other stakeholders to build program plans to implement desired security outcomes

• Break large and complex projects down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, ruthlessly prioritize, and deliver projects in a successful and timely manner

• Define goals and drive clarity for ambiguous or poorly defined problems, and drive them to resolution

• Analyze various disparate datasets from multiple business units, to surface actionable security insights.

• Build automated risk analysis capabilities, discovery, classification, and scoring capabilities across third party software.

• Engage with partner teams to identify and develop process improvements, automation capabilities, and minimize risk exposure.

• Provide both structured and creative thinking in a dynamic, evolving, multi team environment

• Communicate effectively at multiple levels, build trust across the organization, and demonstrate discretion with sensitive information

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • 3+ years of software development experience

  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
