Amazon WW Sustainability Social Responsibility team is looking for someone passionate about driving operational excellence with a track record of leading critical programs/projects within a global landscape. The Program Manager will support cross-functional project execution, ensuring projects are defined properly and delivered on time, within scope, and budget, driving strategic, tactical, projects and programs, as part of the program management office (PMO). Project management, change management, cross-team coordination, and process improvement are essential functions of the role.

This role is highly cross-functional and involves both product and business to drive global initiative. You must think big, insist on the highest standard, and hands-on to handle daily and operational challenges that impede your programs' success.

A successful candidate needs to be a customer obsessed, think big, data and fact driven, have willingness to dive deep in areas you are not familiar with, and ability to make difficult tradeoffs when facing conflicts.

As the PMO program manager, you will establish and enhance project management standards and change management protocols ensuring alignment with org strategic plans. You will develop scope documents, create project plans, stand up mechanisms to monitor and report the health of SR portfolio. You will enforce best practices in project and change management to support product readiness.

You will coordinate and drive day-to-day project execution, the optimization to enhance efficiency and accuracy across projects. You will serve as a primary point of contact and collaboration bridge between the program teams, product and other partner teams to ensure seamless communication, integration and dependency tracking. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the successful delivery of complex product delivery by providing strategic program integration, coordination, and leadership.

Key job responsibilities

• Develop and implement scalable program management strategies to achieve project portfolio objectives, including scope, schedule, budget, and quality.

• Collaborate with program managers and other stakeholders to define project requirements and goals, and ensure alignment with the organization’s objectives; secure resources, set priorities, milestones, and drive delivery.

• Partner with technology and science teams to develop products, resolve issues, and manage development cycles for sustainability solutions.

• Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies across multiple projects, facilitate timely decisions, escalate risks/issues, and remove blockers.

• Monitor project portfolio performance, take corrective actions as necessary to keep projects on track and within scope, develop and govern KPIs for a portfolio of projects/programs, providing visibility into milestone progress.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by optimizing project management processes and procedures.

• Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in sustainability solution services to drive innovation and excellence.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience as a product manager or owner

  • Experience owning technology products

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights

  • Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
