Robert Half Sr. Information Security Engineer in Arlington, Virginia
Description We are seeking a Sr. Information Security Engineer to join our team in the non-profit sector in Arlington, Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our network systems, managing security incidents, and maintaining the highest level of security standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage network and system security including routers, switches, firewalls, and encryption technologies.
• Implement and maintain security standards and regulations such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and NIST 800-53.
• Operate security tools and technologies including CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, and Intune.
• Manage cloud security, including cloud infrastructure and application security.
• Administer Microsoft Azure and hybrid environments, ensuring the security of computer, network, and storage in Azure and Azure Active Directory.
• Implement cybersecurity principles such as risk assessment and management, threat and vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Maintain web security standards, architecture, and application security best practices.
• Manage identity and access governance, including role-based access control and user life cycle management processes.
• Administer authentication technologies such as Microsoft Active Directory/Windows authentication, OpenID Connect, OAuth.
• Develop, document, and maintain security procedures while staying up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies. Requirements • Proficient in Azure Active Directory and Microsoft Defender
• Experience with Intune is essential
• Familiarity with NIST 800-53 and NIST frameworks
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 standards
• Experience with CrowdStrike and DLP
• Proficiency in using SIEM Tools
• Understanding of Authentication Protocols and Multi-Factor Authentication
• Experience with Routers and Firewall
• Knowledge of Firewall Configuration and Azure Storage
• Ability to work in a non-profit environment
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills
• Proven ability to identify, investigate and resolve security issues
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Relevant certifications in Information Security would be advantageous
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role within Information Security. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
