What You Will Do :
Guidehouse is seeking candidates to provide management consulting support to the Department of Transportation (DOT). Multiple roles are available at the Senior Consultant level. Our Senior Consultants are second level non-management consultants that will have responsibility for client management, solution implementation and generation of project results.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong intellectual curiosity, capable of working independently while engaging with senior leadership and other stakeholders to drive impactful outcomes and successfully navigate complex challenges and evolving needs. Other responsibilities include:
Support DOT programs and processes to meet agency mission objectives and organization-specific business goals.
Engage project stakeholders to identify and implement organizational, program, and business process improvements using change management practices.
Collaborate with DOT clients and Guidehouse colleagues to solve problems and improve outcomes.
Develop work products that clearly synthesize information into recommendations for client consideration.
Form and manage client relationships.
Plan and lead collaborative working sessions with colleagues and clients.
Help define direction and lead the development of work products for projects that include but are not limited to process improvement, change management, policy development, and more.
Provide change management recommendations to clients.
Provide guidance, coaching, and quality assurance to junior staff.
Assist in business development activities.
What You Will Need :
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience with the Department of Transportation, another State or Federal Agency, or an organization of similar size / complexity.
3+ years’ management consulting with demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas:
Project Management of large workstreams or programs (e.g., Developing reports and presentations, quality and compliance reviews, schedule and risk management, workstream management);
Change Management (e.g., evaluation of program operations, process improvement, and automation); or
Business Process Improvement (e.g., assessing existing processes and making recommendations to make them more efficient or effective).
Ability to thrive in client service and team-based environments, especially when tackling unstructured problems.
Strong analytical, writing and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail, well organized and ability to self-prioritize multiple activities.
Proficiency with Excel, databases, Word, and PowerPoint.
U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust clearance.
Due to contract requirements must be able to work from Guidehouse Arlington, VA or client facilities in Washington D.C. If located outside of area, must be willing to relocate without financial assistance.
