Description
POLITICO is looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Human Resources Business Partner. The Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) will serve as a trusted advisor to POLITICO’s senior leadership, driving strategic HR initiatives that align with the company’s mission and editorial excellence. This role will lead workforce planning, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness strategies to support business growth and transformation. The Senior HRBP will be a key player in shaping a high-performance culture and ensuring a seamless employee experience in a fast-paced media environment.
What You’ll Do:
Act as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, providing insights and HR solutions that support business objectives
Lead organizational design and development efforts, coaching executives and managers to enhance leadership capabilities
Develop and execute workforce planning strategies that ensure the right talent is in place to drive business success
Assess team and manager development needs, providing recommendations and implementing targeted learning and development solutions
Utilize advanced data analytics to drive decision-making, measure HR impact, and deliver actionable insights
Develop and implement talent management strategies that support career progression, succession planning, and individual development
Oversee and execute the company-wide Goal Setting, Performance Review Cycle and Employee Engagement initiatives
Partner with Recruiting, Learning & Development, Compensation, Legal and HR Systems to align HR solutions with business needs
Collaborate with global HR partners to ensure consistency and alignment in policies, initiatives, and strategic execution
Lead complex employee relations cases, ensuring fair and compliant resolution of workplace concerns in collaboration with Employee Relations Partners
Drive diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) efforts by embedding inclusive practices into all HR programs and business initiatives
Champion change management initiatives and drive cultural transformation aligned with the company's long-term vision
What You'll Need:
7+ years of progressive HR Business Partner experience
An intuitive understanding of Newsrooms – how they operate, the challenges they face, and their unique needs
Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple clients
Demonstrated effectiveness at communicating across all levels of the organization
Strong project management skills with an ability to identify and analyze business and organizational needs
