Summary You will serve as a PROGRAM COORDINATOR in the NAVAL SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status. Responsibilities You will function as an authority/consultant with responsibility for facilitating Intelligence Community (IC), Joint Staff (JS), and Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) support to the Program Office. You will work with the senior program coordinator and program leadership to provide expert consultation and advice for planning, direction, and subsequent evaluation to the Program Office You will establish and foster liaison relationships with the Intelligence Community, Joint Staff, and Office of the Secretary of Defense subject matter experts to ensure they have a comprehensive understanding of Program Office mission requirements You will participate in senior-level, operationally oriented meetings as an authoritative representative of Program Office management and Intelligence Community (IC), Joint Staff (JS), and Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD). Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: Providing problem and requirement definition, opportunity identification, coordination, and collaboration concerning intelligence, policy guidance, and authority support required for targeting, planning, risk assessment, and project execution; Interpreting and applying administrative laws, policies, regulations, and precedents and negotiating effectively with management to accept and implement recommendations; Providing input to the senior program coordinator and helping execute the formulation and implementation of engagement strategies; Developing operational policy and procedures in the support of the strategic objectives of an organization; Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
