To address the growing demands within the Department of Defense, SAIC is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Lead Technical Writer to support the Data and AI infrastructure Management for our Digital and AI Team as we embark on a large initiative to lead the design and operate integrated Enterprise IT solutions that deliver AI-enabled capabilities and enable data-driven decision making to missions across the Department, Services, and Combatant Commands.

The Ideal candidate will be adept at managing customer relationships, driving operational excellence, and fostering continuous improvement across all service areas.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Write technical manuals, training manuals, and standard operating procedures for prototypes undergoing development. These manuals are prototypes themselves and are held to a shifting portfolio standard.

  • Write lab Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for equipment, including Hazard Analysis (HA) of procedures. These are standard Crane SOPs and written to that standard.

  • Write test reports with support from Subject Matter Experts (SME) / team engineers.

  • May be required to attend local meetings and training in support of this effort.

  • Considered expert in field within the organization.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors and fifteen (15) years or more of related experience; Masters and thirteen (13) years or more experience; PhD or JD and ten (10) years or more experience.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Candidate must be able to obtain, or maintain, the security clearance as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Intermediate ITIL training.

  • PMI-PMP Certification.

  • Lean Six Sigma Certification.

  • Agile Scrum Master Certification.
