SAIC Junior Software Engineer in ARLINGTON, Virginia

Description

To address the growing demands within the Department of Defense, SAIC is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Junior Software Engineer to join our Digital and AI Team as we embark on a large initiative to lead the design and operate integrated Enterprise IT solutions that deliver AI-enabled capabilities and enable data-driven decision making to missions across the Department, Services, and Combatant Commands.

The Ideal candidate will be adept at managing customer relationships, driving operational excellence, and fostering continuous improvement across all service areas.

Core Responsibilities

  • Aids in the Design, development, documentation, testing, and debugging of application software.

  • Conducts analysis and collaborates with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for information storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display, or reporting.

  • End-product may be special use, customized, or commercial software.

  • Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops autonomous services, desktop applications, web applications, scripts, and utility programs.

  • Ensures software standards are met.

  • Supports development of technical solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and 0 years related experience.

  • Security+ Certification

  • ITIL Certification

  • US Citizenship and secret security clearance is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a cloud environment, preferably AWS.

  • Experience working in an Agile Community, using Agile methodology for product and project management.

  • Experience working in a DoD environment supporting one of the Armed Forces in an enterprise IT environment, across multiple domains and various clearance levels.

  • SEC+ certification or similar certification to meet DoD 8140 (formerly DoD 8570) requirements.

  • CCNA Certification

  • AWS AI Practitioner Certification

  • AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification
