Global Deal Strategy and Programs (GDSP) is responsible for the AWS Private Pricing Program, designed to offer AWS Customers access to commercial benefits in exchange for multi-year spend commitments on some of the largest and most complex opportunities in the world. The GDSP Spending &Transaction Policy (Deal Approvals) team innovates approval policy and process to impact deal velocity while ensuring highest standards for AWS customers and internal stakeholders.
In this first-in-kind role, the Global Strategy and Business Transformation leader will be the thought leader for all AWS Deal Approval business strategy and transformation initiatives with the mission to enhance deal flow velocity, mitigate risk, and continuously inspect and maintain highest standards across the Private Pricing deal landscape as we scale.
We are seeking an energetic and hands-on strategy transformation leader with proven experience generating, interpreting, and taking action on insights derived from a vast array of global stakeholders. In this role, you will lead the vision, the design strategy, and align consensus across stakeholders on global Deal Approvals policies and processes. As you develop and align communication on all transformation status and initiatives to senior leadership, you will effectively own and drive the 3-Year strategic roadmap. This is a high impact builder opportunity with significant visibility.
Key job responsibilities
•Develop the strategy and transformational roadmap for the Private Pricing Program Deal Approvals for AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services.
• Generate and articulate insights to influence Deal Approval policies (the rules that govern approvals) and processes to identify opportunities to create, streamline, or eliminate policies and processes to improve approval velocity and reduce approval workloads.
• Leverage highly-matrixed organizational experience and advanced business judgement to partner, align, and influence business unit stakeholders on the Deal Approvals strategy and roadmap.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to execute against the transformational roadmap supporting policy, process, tooling, and enablement efforts in support of the Deal Approval strategy.
• Develop and communicate the data and insight strategy to support performance reporting, operational reporting, and strategic analysis for Deal Approvals.
• Maintain and uphold Amazon policies, Private Pricing methodologies, established approval guidelines, and best practices

Basic Qualifications
10+ years of experience driving strategic programs and influencing policy in a large and complex organization
10+ years of business operations experience (may include finance, legal, contracts, approvals, or other comparable experience), leading end-to-end transformational initiatives
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting a worldwide analytics or operations team
Experience supporting a global deal approvals team

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $158,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $262,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
