The Boeing Company’s Government Relations team is looking for a Data Specialist (Experienced or Senior) to join our team in Arlington, VA.

The Data Specialist will focus on collecting data from internal stakeholders to create external products in support of our Government relations team.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Data collection, aggregation, and analysis coming from across multiple teams, systems, and formats. High aptitude in organization skills

  • Willingness and ability to scrutinize and evaluate data integrity and ensure the highest quality of data analysis

  • Implements, maintains, and improves established processes for executing projects.

  • Creates and maintains database user access accounts

  • Assists with hardware and software implementations

  • Produces reports for leadership and government operations team

  • Educates decision makers and partners (e.g., executives, employees, community groups, professional organizations, legislative and regulatory bodies) by providing data related to issues, communicating impacts and providing recommendations in order to represent the interests of the company

  • Creates externally distributed economic impact materials and reports in support of short term and long term advocacy interests

  • Assists in the building of grassroots advocacy coalitions and assembling constituent groups (e.g., employees, shareholders, other business representatives, customers), providing information on topics of mutual interest, establishing and maintaining communication networks in order to expand and strengthen the company's sphere of influence

  • Maintains relationships with executives and internal subject matter experts (e.g., taxes, energy, labor, product sales, engineering) by networking and understanding the business plans and processes of the operating group and the overall company position in order to provide government relations guidance and incorporate operating group requirements into lobbying prioritization

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets

  • 1+ years of experience building intuitive and useful Tableau dashboards and data visualizations that drive business decisions

  • Experience working with large cross-functional teams

  • Experience using analytical, collaboration, communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Experience in Politics, Campaigns, Public Affairs and/or issue advocacy

  • Experience querying and updating SQL Server databases

  • Experience with Power BI

Typical Education/Experience:

Experienced (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Senior (Level 4)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range Experienced (Level 3): $89,250 - $120,750

Summary pay range Senior (Level 4): $124,100 - $167,900
