What are we looking for?

A Contracts Specialist who, under general direction, independently performs a full range of duties with primary emphasis toward ensuring contractual relationships between the company, its customers, and subcontractors are in conformance with SBA, FAR/DFAR, company objectives and state and federal law.

Job Duties:

  • Draft Consultant & Subcontractor NDAs and initial teaming agreements and modifications

  • Develop or review prime contract and subcontractor flow down documents to ensure compliance with prime contract requirements and to minimize company liability

  • Coordinate with Subcontractors for preparation of contractual documentation, modifications, customer requests and any other subcontract matters that arise

  • Conduct initial preparation of price proposals

  • Support preparation of organizational conflict of interest (OCI) terms and develop mitigation strategies

  • Set up new contracts in company’s financial system

  • Maintain contract funding worksheets and generate reports on contract activities

  • Maintain contract files ensuring compliance with CPSR requirements and in accordance with DCAA & DCMA audit guidelines

  • Manage receipt, internal distribution and company responses to contract CPARS

  • Adhere to contract policies, procedures, methods, operating practices, and performance standards for areas of responsibility

    Required Experience:

  • Must have 3+ years plus of experience with prime contract and subcontract administration, NDA/Teaming Agreement preparation, and price proposal preparation

  • Experience with various contract types, including fixed-price, time and material, cost reimbursable, and General Service Administration (GSA) schedules, such as government-wide acquisition contracts, blanket purchase agreements (BPAs), and rapid response IDIQs

  • Experience with FAR 9.5 organizational conflict of interest (OCI) terms and helps develop mitigation strategies, as necessary

  • Knowledge of federal government contracting and federal acquisition regulation (FAR) and agency supplements

  • Ability to establish and maintain strong professional relationships with internal and external clients

  • Ability to work in a highly productive, fast pace, and team focused environment

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

  • Strong organization, attention to detail, accountability/ownership and follow-up skills

  • Proficient with MS Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

    Education:

    Currently due to the remote working status of the federal government, most DRT employees are teleworking from home and leveraging video conferencing along with other virtual productivity tools. Under normal circumstances, most of our positions are required to report onsite. However, DRT has not yet determined when employees will be required to return to their onsite workspaces. Please be aware that at the time a date is determined to return to the worksite, the requirement of this position may be to report in person to the work location.
